| Dana de Waal became Musical Director of the Fishpond Choir in January 2002 and in the ensuing four years, the choir membership has increased to around seventy, and can now boast that it is not only the best - but the largest mixed-voice choir in Derbyshire! |
| The Fishpond Choir is an open access choir, free to anyone who enjoys singing and performing. Our aim is to provide high quality music in an informal atmosphere. We sing an eclectic mix of music from Britain and around the world, traditional and new songs arranged and written by Dana. Much of our music has an African flavour reflecting the birthplace of our musical director and accompanist. Apart from leading the choir Dana has a superb tenor voice and was highly regarded in his native South Africa before he and Anne moved to Derbyshire.
